Praia League Round 7: Ach.Grande loses the game and top position

There was a change at the Praia League leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 7 took place in between two undefeated teams where Plateau beat Ach.Grande (5-1) 72-66 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Ach.Grande. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Undefeated Plateau (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Ach.Grande at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Plateau. Ach.Grande will play next round against CB Cidadela trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Plateau will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Ach.Panthers at home.
Important game to mention about took place in . Third ranked Ponta Gorilla (3-3) saved a 1-point victory at home edging bottom-ranked Ach.Panthers (0-5) 77-76 on Friday evening. Ponta Gorilla maintains third place with 3-3 record having just one point less than leader Plateau. Ach.Panthers lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Ponta Gorilla will play against Palmarejo (#4) in the next round. Ach.Panthers will play against the league's leader Plateau and hope to get finally their first victory.
